Richard Dawkins has a high reputation in the biological sciences. He is also well-known through the media for his persistent efforts to disseminate the view that science and religion are in conflict. Some of his claims are examined below.

The WWW site of the CiS, "a professional Christian group for all who are concerned about science/faith issues. Among its more than 600 members are scientists engaged in research and development, science lecturers, teachers and administrators in universities and schools, science writers, philosophers, theologians, and others who have an interest in the relationship between science and Christian faith". The site contains information about the organisation's aims, membership, conference and other meetings. The site also contains details of the journal "Science and Christian Belief". While the journal is published in print form and subject to subscription, there are abstracts of some articles from recent issues of the journal, within this site. These article cover a wide range of scientific, moral and theological issues. The site contains a link to an associated group called "Christians in Science Education" whose concern is "to provide a service to Christians who are involved in science education, to keep people in touch with developments in this field, and to help them to bring a Christian perspective to their work".

This on-line journal seeks "to bring together the insights of science, philosophy, and theology in an effort to foster greater understanding and coherence between these disciples". Each issue consists of an editorial and feature article, essay or book review and a comments section. The journal approaches its subjects from the perspective of the work of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (1883-1955) a Jesuit priest and paleontologist.

The Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies: An International Journal of Interdisciplinary and Interfaith Dialogue (JIS)seeks to recover the lost unity of Renaissance learning, while affirming transcendental values and faith, thus promoting dialogue across geographical, disciplinary, and denominational boundaries. The www site of JIS contains a contents list, article abstracts, an Art Gallery, and subscription details. JIS is co-sponsored by the International Christian Studies Association and published by the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research (IIR's aim is to increase understanding among academics, college students, and the public of the interrelatedness of all areas of knowledge across the disciplines, social sciences and humanities, arts and the natural sciences and reconnect them once more to ethics and faith). JIS appears in a double issue once per year in September. JIS is trilingual: English, German, and French.

Journal of Philosophy of Education publishes articles representing a wide variety of philosophical traditions. They vary from examination of fundamental philosophical issues in their connection with education, to detailed critical engagement with current educational practice or policy from a philosophical point of view.
