Richard Dawkins has a high reputation in the biological sciences. He is also well-known through the media for his persistent efforts to disseminate the view that science and religion are in conflict. Some of his claims are examined below.

The WWW site of the CiS, "a professional Christian group for all who are concerned about science/faith issues. Among its more than 600 members are scientists engaged in research and development, science lecturers, teachers and administrators in universities and schools, science writers, philosophers, theologians, and others who have an interest in the relationship between science and Christian faith". The site contains information about the organisation's aims, membership, conference and other meetings. The site also contains details of the journal "Science and Christian Belief". While the journal is published in print form and subject to subscription, there are abstracts of some articles from recent issues of the journal, within this site. These article cover a wide range of scientific, moral and theological issues. The site contains a link to an associated group called "Christians in Science Education" whose concern is "to provide a service to Christians who are involved in science education, to keep people in touch with developments in this field, and to help them to bring a Christian perspective to their work"

A gateway for the Study and Teaching of Theology. This gateway will be undergoing change in format from its current extensive bibliography of links. The main sections currently are "General Guides", "Bibles and Biblical Studies", "History of Theology", "Contemporary Theology", "Pastoral Studies", "Religions and Denominations".
