Values Project Learning Resource from St. Mary Redcliffe and Temple School
This learning resource is designed to tell you about the work we have been doing
in the Values Project at St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School, teaching
about values through the curriculum.
This resource will help you in the implementation
of aspects of citizenship education and the spiritual, moral, social and
cultural development of pupils. It has been developed by classroom teachers within regular school time. It encourages a focus on learning, and on learning to learn, for both teachers and pupils.
There are a number of different aspects that you might like to investigate:
An explanation of the what, why and how of the project in a detailed overview
The meaning of the project - what teachers have said about their experience of putting these ideas into practice |
Some guidance on how to set about planning lessons which can be used to fit into your schemes of work. |
Some examples of specific lesson plans which we have used in
a number of subject areas. |
Reflection -the research that has been carried out by others and ourselves in this area. |
We believe that with a little bit of open
mindedness and some support from your senior management, this resource will help you to benefit from the inspiration which this style of teaching can bring to both teacher and pupil.
Many people have contributed to the project and are acknowledged here.
