FORMULATING A DESIGN SPECIFICATION - Role Play
Each member of your group will be given a role to play, and an appropriate senario, and then as a whole group you will be asked to negotiate and write a Design Specification for the following Design Brief.
The Brief
"Design a range of unisex leisure garments for the Company GETOUT which will update their existing market image. The product range must be easily adapted for both children and adults."
Each group will contain people taking the following ‘roles’:
The Managing Director of GETOUT;
A Freelance Fashion Designer;
The Mother from a ‘typical’ family;
The Production Manager of STITCHWELLS;
Potential users ie/ yourselves
and an observer
You are not allowed to read each others instructions.
The Managing Director of GETOUT will Chair the meeting, and the Production Manager of STITCHWELLS is expected to record the decisions made by the group.
The observer does not take part in the discussions but will report back to the group later as to how they interacted.
