FORMULATING A DESIGN SPECIFICATION
A Design Specification is a series of statements which describe the possibilities and restrictions of the product.
The Design Specification is therefore a very important document. It often acts a ‘contract’ in industry, between the client and designer or producer. So if the final product does not fit the negotiated specification, payment for the designs / product can be with-held.
The Specification usually includes details about the
of the product, and is usually written in point form.
